**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As an Account Officer for the Marriott International Management Company
- Australia, your role is primarily to support day-to-day finance operations mainly Accounts payable, receivable, and Concur expense claims.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Ensure timely preparation and processing of invoices in the accounting system.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring prompt and accurate processing.
- Continually identify process improvements and efficiencies for accounting and financial-related policies and procedures.
- Participate in month-end close process.
- Maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (staff, audit, banks) by providing information, and using investigative and problem-solving skills to resolve general queries that arise.
- Ensure compliance of tax requirements including domestic GST and international VAT/GST.

**REQUIRED SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES**:

- Understanding of GL accounts, cost centers, and coding procedures.
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for continued learning and improvement.
- Experience in accounts payable and receivables.
- Proven ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and speed.
- Ability to liaise with a variety of stakeholders professionally and proactively.
- Proven ability to work under pressure, effectively coordinating and prioritizing tasks to meet tight deadlines.
