This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Pyrmont, Sydney. There are approximately 160 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 300 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Denmark, Germany and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally.

**About the role**

The position will report the CEO. It represents an exceptional opportunity for a result-driven individual in a new niche but exploding global market for counterdrone security.

The role will form an integral part of a small global sales team spread between Australia, US, Europe and Middle East, with the primary focus on highlighting DroneShield’s branding, communications and media messages, supported by the internal digital marketing team, and by external consultancies as appropriate, including a media advisor.

Competitive compensation package will be offered for the role, including competitive base salary, discretionary cash bonus, and stock options.

**Responsibilities, Duties and Expectations**
- Primary focus on defence segment, with other areas including intelligence, law enforcement, border security, critical infrastructure, stadiums and data centres.
- Public relations, branding and corporate communications
- Work closely with Sales and Business Development team members
- Review and management of the website (incl SEO) across various markets
- Social media strategy and scheduling
- Competitive market research
- Conferences and events research, prep and promotion, as well as assisting to coordinate logistics
- Generating Case studies
- Responsible for marketing assets and collateral
- Knowledge expertise on industry events, awards, and associations

**Qualifications, Experience and Skills**
- 5-20 years marketing, branding and communications experience
- Defence sector experience not required, however passion about defense as a sector is required; and bringing cutting edge marketing skills from civilian industries into the defence sector
- Experience at small to mid-market is preferable
- Proven track record of successful marketing campaigns
- Ability to work autonomously
- Excellent written/verbal communication
- Motivated self-starter
- High degree of attention to detail
- Creative lateral thinker
