Excellent opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join a leading not-for-profit private healthcare provider.
**The Company**
Robert Half is currently recruiting for an experienced and dedicated Accounts Payable Manager to join a growing not for profit organisation based in the outer Western Suburbs of Melbourne.
The requirement has arisen following an exciting and significant period of growth within the business. This expansion has led to a newly created role, requiring a seasoned Accounts Payable or Transaction Service Manager to assist in setting out best practice and processes of the Accounts Payable function.
This role will be offered on a remote basis, however travel to the outer western suburbs of Melbourne will be required 1 day per fortnight.
**The Role**
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will supervise a team of 3 responsible for monitoring operational day-to-day accounts payable activities such as invoice processing, weekly/month end payments, vendor account reconciliation, and ensuring operational best practice is maintained.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Overseeing the day-to-day operation of a high volume of Accounts Payable function
- Ensure the team is actively managing invoices to expected time-frames, manage work in progress, and drive a reduction in backlog.
- Support the formulation of recommendations to drive improvements to account payable processes and engagement across the organisation.
- Ensuring effective relationships are maintained between the department and the wider organisation.
This role is offered on an initial 3-6 month temporary contract, with an immediate start required.
**Your Profile**
- 3 plus years' experience in full-function Accounts Payable position in a high-volume AP function
- A proven ability to action and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Proactive approach to work
- Experience leading/mentoring a team.
- Intermediate Excel with proficiency in Vlookup & pivot tables
