
Electrical Minor Works Officer

Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood has a collaborative maintenance contract with Seqwater to deliver leading maintenance services in the water industry. These projects cover South East Queensland across multiple locations, assisting Seqwater to provide water for more than 3 million people.
You will be responsible for leading and managing the successful delivery of Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Works projects and other campaign improvement initiatives in the Asset Maintenance Program.
Based at the Mount Crosby Water Treatment Plant, you will ensure project delivery occurs in accordance with Seqwater processes and project management procedures, including project structures, controls and governance, risk management, stakeholder communications and reporting.

**Attributes**:
- Single point of accountability for the successful project delivery and hand over to the nominated internal client within Seqwater.
- Be a focal point for Wood Engineering Services to Seqwater
- Prepare and present management reports as required :on all allocated project issues, including financial performance, to ensure quality and timely information is available to senior management
- Contribute to the ongoing efficiency and effectiveness of the Seqwater asset management system by developing a detailed understanding of the scope, function and nature of the assets used in water treatment, supply system and bulk water storage.
- Observe and comply with all Seqwater work health and safety, quality and environmental management systems and procedures.
- Undertake other duties, which are assigned from time to time by the Manager.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage multiple Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Works Projects and Asset Maintenance Campaign Works, and Low Risk / Low Value Operations Projects with indicative cumulative value of $2M - $4M+ involving personnel from a variety of teams and professional disciplines to ensure the projects are delivered in accordance with the minor capital works program objectives.
- Supervise and manage the design, tendering and delivery phases of the Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Works projects, ensuring the reports, design plans and documentation are delivered in a timely and cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team key stakeholders to ensure Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Works projects are delivered by the maintenance team and/or third-party contractors in accordance with specifications, standards, budgets and project management plan.
- Coordinate with other Seqwater groups and teams to ensure that relevant concerns are incorporated into the delivery of Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Works projects.
Skills / Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in delivery of Instrument / Electrical Minor Capital Projects with values of $2M - $4M
- Proficient Computer Skills (MS Suite - Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Current “C” class Queensland Drivers Licence.
- Knowledge and experience of working of Seqwater / Water industry assets would be advantageous
- Understanding of the scope, function and nature of the mechanical and electrical assets used in Seqwater’s / Water Industry businesses.
- Knowledge of processes used to assess the condition of the assets and establish the most appropriate maintenance regime for the assets.
- Ability to analyse data and prepare written reports (eg. Business Cases, Execution Plans, Study Reports)
- Demonstrated sound written, interpersonal and oral communication skills including the ability to consult with a range of Seqwater employees and contractors.
- Ability to coordinate minor project teams to achieve objectives of Asset Improvement Projects
- Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously when required as well as display a willingness to participate positively and constructively in the enhancement of the team environment.
- Demonstrate a willingness to discuss and implement improvements in procedures and systems.
