**Lived Experience Worker - Post Admission Support Team (PAST)**
- This position provides support to consumers admitted to Mercy Mental Health Inpatient Units in the post discharge period for up to 28 days. The Lived Experience Worker works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team (MDT). As an integral member of the Post Admission Support Team (PAST), the Lived Experience Worker provides practical assistance to clients to lead their own recovery process.
- This role has been specifically developed for people who have lived experience, you will have been directly connected with mental health service provision as a consumer of mental health services.
- Permanent Part-time Role (0.6 EFT onsite).
- Based in Werribee Clare Moore Building.

- Key component of our multidisciplinary service.

**ABOUT YOU**:

- Personal experience of recovery with mental illness/ mental health difficulties.
- Experience working as a Lived Experience Worker.
- Experience of recovery in context of additional co-occurring challenges such as drug/alcohol abuse, legal issues physical health matters, social issues such as homelessness is an advantage.
- Experience with and understanding of the intentional peer support framework is an advantage.

- Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
