We are hiring a deli team member to join the team at our beautiful **South Hobart store**

As a **Deli Team Member** you'll provide exceptional service to deli customers, fulfilling their requests for fresh meat, poultry and fish; cold meats and smallgoods; salads and antipasto; ready to eat meals and pastries. You'll keep displays fresh, beautiful and full, make product recommendations and offer tasters.

This role has the flexibility to be casual or part-time, depending on the successful applicant. Part-time minimum hours would be approx. 30 per week.

Experience working in a **deli **or within **food retail** is desirable, however if you are keen to learn, have a can-do attitude and are available during the daytime, we would love to hear from you
- You will need:_
- A friendly attitude and good communication skills, to provide the attentive customer service Hill Street is known for.
- To be comfortable handling meat and seafood (both cooked and uncooked)
- A love of working with people (both colleagues and customers)
- Energy, initiative and willingness to take direction.
- The ability to follow company procedures and regulations, particularly regarding food handling and workplace health and safety.
- Ongoing daytime availability on at least 3-4 days per week and every second weekend. Your standard roster will be agreed based on your availability and our operational requirements, with flexibility to suit your needs.
- Physical fitness for lifting and standing.

Pay rates are set by the _General Retail Industry Award_. The 2024-25 base hourly pay rates for **level 1 adults** are:
Full-time & part-time
- Weekdays $25.65
- Saturday $32.06
- Sunday $38.48

Casual
- Weekdays $32.06
- Saturday $38.48
- Sunday $44.89
