Workplace Health & Safety is focused on supporting the Women's to promote health and safety for all staff and to provide comprehensive services around Workplace Health & Safety and Injury management
**Your contribution**
The Workplace Health and Safety Support Officer will be responsible for supporting Workplace Health and Safety team to administer the injury management and the occupational, health and safety programs across the organisation.
Your duties will include (but are not limited to) the following:
- Be an initial primary point of contact for Return to Work and WorkCover enquiries from managers and employees
- Assist the Return to Work team with the preparation of correspondence to injured employees, WorkCover claimants, claims agent and treatment providers
- Provide a warm, friendly customer service to all enquiries, including answering telephone calls and passing on messages as required
- Injured worker payroll administration, setting up files, making payments and reimbursements
- Assisting the Workplace Health and Safety team with data entry, reporting, invoicing, training bookings
**About you**
To be successful within this role you will need to have:
- Previous experience in Administrative, Payroll, Workcover or similar role
- High level administrative and organisational skills
- Excellent computer literacy skills, including proficient in MS Office suite
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Strong mathematical skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
- Basic understanding of Workcover and OHS legislation

**COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement***

**Influenza Vaccination Requirement**
In line with the Health Services Amendment (Mandatory Vaccination of Healthcare Workers) Act 2020, some health care workers are now required to have their flu vaccination to work in health care. Evidence of vaccination is required.
As this role fits into category C of the departments risk ratings, applicants are strongly encouraged (although not required) to be vaccinated against influenza.)
