**About the role**:
Due to internal movement within Powerlink, we now have an opportunity for a Customer Connection Specialist to join our Operations Planning and Access team within Network Operations.

Working as part of a multi-disciplinary, supportive and customer centric team, you will:

- Closely support our customers to achieve optimal connections, providing advice on relevant process and procedures.
- Ensure that appropriate special protection schemes are included with customer connections.
- Provide technical guidance and advice to the Network Access team relating to customer request information.
- Work with internal stakeholders to influence design, ensuring operational connectivity and network resilience is achieved.
- Establish and maintain operational procedures and protocols.
- Facilitate customer awareness and education in relation to Powerlink Network Operations relevant procedures and resources.

**About you**:
In addition to having significant industry experience, you will have degree level or lesser qualifications in Electrical Engineering and demonstrated operational field based engineering experience, ideally with exposure to switching sheets or work instructions.
You will have a second to none focus on safety with an inclusive and collaborative approach to working with your stakeholders. In addition, you will have:

- Skills in managing multiple priorities and managing customer expectations within an agile environment
- Ability to trouble-shoot and provide advice on technical, connection related matters
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret network rules and regulations
- Knowledge of transmission/distribution networks, associated elements and protection schemes highly advantageous however is not essential
