One of Australia’s leading **Federal Government Departments** is looking to engage multiple skilled and experienced **Cyber Analysts / Cyber Security Specialists **to join their multidisciplinary team based in their **Canberra or Melbourne Offices**. The successful **Cyber Analysts / Cyber Security Specialists **will be focussed on analysing identified risks and design appropriate mitigations for implementation across various ongoing and upcoming programs of work. The successful **Cyber Analysts / Cyber Security Specialists **will secure a **6-month contract **with **2x** **6-month** **extension options** with a **rewarding pay rate with working from home arrangements**.

The successful **Cyber Analysts / Cyber Security Specialists **will be responsible for, but not limited to:

- Analysing firewall and gateway logs and records.
- Undertaking security risk assessments on key technology components and identify areas for remediation and appropriate remediation controls.
- Helping to design a future state, better practice configuration based on the above analysis.
- Facilitating discussions with system owners and technical leads around the risks identified and the appropriate remediation’s.

The successful **Cyber Analysts / Cyber Security Specialists **will have experience in the following:

- Strong knowledge of cyber security principles, frameworks, and cyber security risk assessment methodologies, for example, ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management aligned approaches.
- Comprehensive, up to date knowledge of common threats and vulnerabilities.
- High level communication skills with an ability to articulate vulnerabilities to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience analysing risks associated with external perimeter technologies (firewall and gateway services specifically) of complex environments.
