About the role

As a Technology Commercial Manager you will be responsible for maintaining the governance and commercial framework of the Microsoft enterprise agreement. This role works with all relevant domains in Group Tech to ensure license consumption is monitored on frequent basis. This role is required to manage growing footprint of SaaS products from Microsoft and migration of Microsoft products to cloud. It provides a central point of coordination to ensure all Microsoft related products are utilised in accordance with license terms and manage annual true-up/true-down of the products.

The role is critical to making this happen and will be responsible for:
Multi Domain/stakeholder coordination for managing on premises and SaaS products related to Microsoft.
Understanding, managing and optimization of on premises licenses after right sizing of software assurance.
Managing risks and licensing impact resulting from migration to cloud or conversion to SaaS products.
Strong governance of right sized software assurance estate for avoiding any non-compliance.
Assessment of performance, product utility, business criticality of existing and new products.
Managing governance framework with help of Domains and facing Microsoft on regular basis.

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
Commercial management experience and expertise, particularly with regards to Microsoft and other SaaS offerings,
Strong understanding of third-party cloud hosting and impact on SaaS licensing,
Experience in managing license footprint against license compliance terms
Strong communicator, stakeholder, and relationship management,
Problem solving within highly complex and ambiguous situations
Strong commercial acumen with ability to analyze cost vs risk trade-offs, shape deal economics
Understanding supply market dynamics, Third Party Risk and Regulatory requirements, external leading practice, market trends relevant to SaaS products
