**The Company**

Our client is an Australian owned food manufacturing company with a large presence across NSW and QLD, offering a unique value chain to enable them to continue delivering top of the range products across Australia as well as on an international scale. Due to an increased focus on environmental and sustainability impacts, they are now looking to recruit a Sustainability Manager who will be based at their flagship site south of Brisbane and streamline their strategy on a national scale.

**The Role**

As the Sustainability Manager, you will report to the General Manager Supply Chain and be responsible for:

- Development and implementation of a wholistic sustainability strategy, including targets, aligned with the Company's most significant impacts on the economy, environment and people.
- Working across all functions and in particular, operations and procurement, to ensure sustainability standards can and are being achieved, including the process, procedures and reporting to achieve this.
- Develop strong relationships with internal stakeholders and influence new Sustainability Initiatives that are commercially viable and return value to the business.
- Develop a wide range of strategies across core and non-core business operations.
- Educating stakeholders and employees regarding the importance of sustainable management practices.

**Your Background**

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline (Engineering, Science).
- Knowledge of, or experience in implementing sustainability improvement programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Persistence and the ability to facilitate change and influence others
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to clearly link sustainability initiatives to financial results.
- Passionate about sustainability, environmental impact, and climate change.
