**The Client**

My client is a large mining house that owns and operates a number of large mining operations in QLD. They are looking for a
**Manager, Approvals & Sustainability** to lead, mentor and manage a team of specialists in the Approvals, Environmental and Sustainability sub-disciplines (in house).

**The Opportunity**

This is a Brisbane Corporate position. Reporting into the General Manager, Sustainability & Growth. Ultimately the expectations around this role is to enable and provide support to your team of specialists.

**Responsibilities**
- Managing a team of ~5 - 6 specialists across Approvals, Environment and Sustainability,
- Collaborating with the Federal and State Govt authorities and maintaining a positive relationship between them, your team and the overall business,
- Enabling the company initiatives around ethical mine expansion plans,
- Driving the implementation of the company's Decarbonisation and Sustainability strategies,
- Develop and implement processes and procedures for the management of compliance obligations,
- Manage the timely delivery of Commonwealth and State level approvals.

**Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Sciences, Sustainability and/or Engineering,
- Proven, demonstrated leadership within Approvals, Environmental and Sustainability in the Resources sector,
- Must reside in Brisbane.
