**About this role**
We are seeking an enthusiastic
**Urban Planner** to join our growing Melbourne Planning and Design Team. With an exciting and innovative pipeline of work, you will help deliver projects, win work and contribute to the growth of the team. Every day you will have the opportunity to push the boundaries of urban planning and create new possibilities for our clients. With access to a global community of experts, you will collaborate with and learn from other innovative minds.
**What will I do?**
- Work as part of project teams to deliver high quality statutory and strategic planning projects.
- Contribute to the success and positive culture of the team
- Manage the delivery of small projects and work directly with clients.
- Contribute to work winning by helping on proposals and bid strategy.
- Develop a network within Arup and the wider planning industry.
**What will I bring?**
- 2-5 years relevant experience in a consulting environment along with tertiary qualifications in Planning, Economics, Social Sciences, Engineering or Similar
- Understanding of statutory and strategic planning across Melbourne and able to demonstrate what issues matter on the projects you deliver
- Ability to deliver high-quality technical work across policy review, spatial analytics, statutory analysis and approvals.
- Experience working on projects, with an understanding of scope and timeframes and the ability to communicate expectations to project managers
- A commitment to enabling positive, respectful, and inclusive team environments
