**Who are we looking for?**

Queensland University of Technology (QUT) is seeking a Manager, Strategic Procurement to join Finance Business Solutions, Chancellery Division.

The Manager, Strategic Procurement will lead a team of procurement professionals responsible for providing specialist procurement services and advisory to a wide range of key stakeholders in the University. The position provides direction, leadership and continuous improvement across all procurement activities at QUT, promoting effective, efficient service delivery and value-added procurement planning, sourcing and contract management solutions.

You will demonstrate:
Selection Criteria
- Education, training, accreditation and/or experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications with extensive relevant experience in managing a end-to-end procurement function to a similar scope and scale as QUT’s requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in building, managing, improving and leading a procurement function including - developing annual procurement plans, achieving enterprise-wide commercial outcomes, reducing risk, embedding responsible procurement initiatives (including Modern Slavery, Indigenous and Social outcomes, and Sustainability), and embedding innovations.
- Demonstrated experience with end-to-end strategic procurement, sourcing and category management skills including the ability to develop and implement strategies and plans in a complex and evolving environment.
- Highly developed negotiation, engagement and influencing skills demonstrated across complex and diverse business areas and functions.
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including demonstrated ability to manage collaborative working relationships with diverse stakeholders and confidently articulate complex advice in a succinct manner.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage a team of skilled professionals in a complex and demanding environment, using coaching techniques to foster a culture of high performance.
