**The role**:
In your new role as Head of Policy Change & Process Improvement across Business & Private Bank, you will play a key role in setting the lending policies strategic direction. You will work with a dedicated team to design and deliver the strategic roadmap of policy change and process improvement initiatives to simplify lending policy, drive productivity and efficiencies whilst always ensuring that risks are appropriately managed.
Key Accountabilities include but not limited to:
- Drive the strategic roadmap, ensuring alignment with Lending, Credit & Risk strategies and transformational activity
- Manage initiatives across the continuous improvement lifecycle, from identification to implementation and measurement
- Design solutions that demonstrate simplified policy, focus on customer experience, effective and efficient processes & management of risk/obligations
- Understand regulatory and/or compliance obligations and priorities, and design policy and process simplification that reduces risk and uplifts controls, while effectively balancing risk and commercial objectives

**What you will bring**:
- Strong Business and Consumer Banking experience across front line, lending and credit risk
- Proven track record in delivering transformational and continuous improvement outcomes in large, complex organisations
- Strong Project/Programme Management experience
- You are an experienced strategic leader with experience developing and delivering on your strategic roadmap
- Strong people leadership experience building and leading a high-performing team
- Understanding of the regulatory environment as well as risk and controls frameworks
- Demonstratable product (including lending processes), credit risk, operational risk and controls experience
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate and influence simply and with positive effect
