**Your new company**
Your new company is a public sector authority based in Brisbane CBD. This company is a large and integrated infrastructure business which is pivotal to the success of Queensland. They are looking for a Design Manager to join their Southeast Queensland Project Delivery Team.

**Your new role**
As a Design Manager within the Project Delivery Team, you will be providing design management services throughout the project and manage multidiscipline design teams in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects.

You will also:

- Organize engineering and architectural design and construction planning professionals, and manage external resources in project
- based teams
- Provide infrastructure design and planning services during all stages of a project to complete projects against specified Key Performance Indicators
- Engage, oversee and manage consultants and designers ensuring all requirements of the engagement are satisfied.
- Lead the development and implementation of the design by ensuring all necessary activities are carried out, including without limitation Design reviews & approvals, meetings, scope/ design changes, budget monitoring, scheduling, and reporting.

**What you'll need to succeed**
To succeed in this role, you will need a high level of skill in managing and coordinating multi-disciplined design teams for complex rail infrastructure projects or similar.

You will also need:

- Experience in administering multi-disciplined consultant agreements.
- Experience in leading the delivery of business focused technical/professional design management solutions that deliver commercial outcomes.
- Knowledge of railway transport operations, construction, maintenance, safety standards and requirements on rail infrastructure works or similar.
- High level of skill in meeting statutory, regulatory and policy obligations, particularly relation to satisfy the safety, environment, contract processes in a commercially focused business.

**What you'll get in return**
By working with this public sector authority, you will get a daily rate between $1200 - $1480. This is a 6-month contract, with possibility to extend.
