This temporary vacancy is open to Expressions of Interest and any extensions to this appointment will not exceed 12 months. **About the Role**: - Provide guidance and support to the business in relation to the department's information security services. - Review current and proposed information systems for compliance with the department's obligations and adherence to overall security strategy (including legislation, regulatory, policies, standards, procedures) and provide recommendations for correction of information security issues. - Contribute to the maintenance of policies, standards, procedures and documentation for information security. - Review actual and potential security breaches and vulnerabilities and ensure they are promptly and thoroughly investigated, making recommendations for actions and control improvements. - Ensure that information security records are accurate and complete and that requests for support are dealt with according to agreed procedures and service levels. - Provide technical information in report format, which can be consumed by management and other departmental staff. Maintain a high level of quality in the performance of all duties, adhering to quality assurance expectations, policies and procedures, government and industry standards and best practices, proactively seeking improvements in the way in which work is undertaken. Provide advice and support to other departmental ICT operational teams, regional ICT teams, school representatives and other departmental staff, in relation to information security matters.
