About the Role
As the Cyber Security Officer, you will join our Security and IT team to further develop and manage the organisation’s Information Security Operations while cultivating a culture of cyber awareness.
About You and the Role
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related discipline
- Previous experience with Information Technology systems and architecture (e.g. OS, networking)
- Experience within Cyber Security (e.g. frameworks, processes, systems, tools) (desired)
- Basic programming skills (e.g. KQL, Python, PowerShell)
- Strong knowledge of Azure and M365. AWS knowledge would be beneficial
- Strong knowledge of ICT systems and networking principles
- Strong knowledge of Information Security principles and practices
- Sound knowledge of incident response and planning
- Work with Security Operations Centre (SOC) and IT staff to implement security controls
- Assist with the investigation of all SOC reported security alerts and initiate appropriate responses
- Actively assess emerging and existing security technologies to identify opportunities for the improvement and continued development of overall organisational security posture
