**What is the CIRC program?**

The Children in Residential Care (CIRC) program, supports young people in residential care to connect, or re-stablish their education and pathways. The CIRC program team are experienced Specialist Educators using a trauma-informed approach, along with up-to-date integration and teaching strategies.

**Your Opportunity**

The Education Specialist provides advocacy for their students through a case load to return to learning; through care team interactions, assessments, educational planning, enrolment support, and liaising with education bodies.

Education Specialists will be required to _Engage_ face-to-face well with the young person, _Support_ their educational needs, and _Transfer_ them back to learning.

Interactions with a young person and a Care Team will require a flexible, diverse and creative approach to meet the needs of each student.

Flexible working environment with a mix of work from home, Noble Park office and face to face meetings/visits with young people in your local South East region.

A self-motivated, flexible professional that thrives when collaborating with others in a wide variety of settings, with the purpose of supporting students to re-connect and create positive educational outcomes.

With trauma informed practices and experiences, this role requires a passionate person who can be a creative thinker and adaptable to cater to our diverse young people’s needs.

Experience in the following setting desired but not required:

- Alternate/Wellbeing learning settings
- Justice settings
- Working with remote or marginalised communities
- Schools that have specialised settings for young people.

**Qualification requirements for this role include a Bachelor’s degree in Education with current VIT registration.** Both primary and secondary teachers are welcome to apply.**
