We are searching for our next **Commercial Analyst** to join our Sales Finance Team in Sydney, reporting into our Finance Manager - Sales. You will partner with the local Sales team to provide financial and commercial analysis and insights to enable better decisions and manage business performance. You will have exposure to a large FMCG sales function, have full ownership of the P&L and engage and gain experience in a true commercial business partnering role. This is a great opportunity for a self-starter to make the role their own by establishing governance and improving processes to drive outcomes. The role is hybrid, which means you’ll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.

**A day in the life**
- Provide commercial decision support, drive results and create value through deep operational and day-to-day analysis
- Partner with the sales team and provide support and input into the deep commercial insight generation, risks and opportunities identification and mitigation, commercial outlook
- Timely, accurate and insightful management of P&L and Balance Sheet, including review and monitoring performance for key financial metrics, planning and reporting, and communication of the results
- Ownership of monthly closure, reporting and forecasting
- Support the development of a robust budgets and forecasts in alignment with strategy and agreed timelines.

**What you’ll bring**
- Strong data, analytical modelling and system skills
- Experience generating and sharing value-adding insights
- A record of delivering system and process improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated relationship-building skills
- Tertiary qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance
- An accounting qualification (CA/CPA/CIMA/ACCA) or working towards
- 3+ years of postgraduate experience, preferably in a commercial environment
