**About the role**

National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for Project Officer role to work as part of the team and contribute towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and Aboriginal heritage.

The Project Officer is responsible for providing diverse project management and support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, and implementing and monitoring project plans. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a high performing team to support the achievement of organisational objectives.

The Project Officer will have a focus in supporting the delivery and operations of the Illawarra Mountain Bike project and other key projects within the Illawarra Highlands Area.

**About You**

As a Project Officer you are adept at managing competing priorities and working collaboratively with inter-connected teams. Ideally, you have exposure to high-volume work within a large complex organisation or similar and have a passion for achieving outcomes in a changing and diverse work environment.

You’ll also be highly motivated and an excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders both in person and through virtual networks. You thrive being a team player who is proactive and demonstrates initiative at every opportunity.

**Essential requirements**
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
- Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
