This department is based in a freshly refurbished building in the centre of Canberra and are passionate about looking after people who are currently supporting small, local and large businesses or seeking a new or first opportunity. Due to new growth in this area, this organisation is looking for a Survey and Data Evaluation specialist to join their team as a Principal Evaluation Officer.

**Your new role**

Are you looking to broaden your horizon and make an impact? As the Principal Evaluation Officer you will be working on multiple programs to help support young Australians entering the next exciting phase of their life. You will be accountable for developing surveys for providers of the programs, however day to day could see you:

- Managing the provider surveys including survey frames, questionnaires, communications strategies and analysis of data sets
- Managing engagement with providers in relation to handling complaints and response maximisation and more
- Producing summary and detailed findings out of the results from the surveys
- Compiling methodology and technical reports to supplement analytical findings

As you will be engaging and collaborating with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally, well-developed communication skills with the ability to foster professional relationships whilst building rapport and trust is a must.

**What you'll need to succeed**

You will have a passion for working with data. Your previous experience in developing, conducting and analysing complex surveys, in either a research or public sector setting, will ensure strong contribution to this important Government Department. To highly succeed in this are, you will have:

- A good working knowledge of SAS, Excel, Qualtrics and Word
- Report writing skills and experience
- Strong stakeholder management and consultation skills

To be considered for this role you must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government Security Clearance at the Baseline level or higher.
