Control Room Security Officer

**Position Purpose**

The principal objective of the Control Room Operator is to use the CCTV system to efficiently manage incidents and anticipate threats by utilising both live and recorded camera footage. Act as a reception as well as a Security reception (answering the phone and directing calls appropriately.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Proactively utilise the camera system to:

- Identify and prevent illegal and/or inappropriate behaviour, which has the potential to alarm or heighten the risk to members of the general public
- Identify and prevent illegal and/or inappropriate behaviour, which has the potential to result in damage to property or disrupt public order
- Conduct regular preset and manual patrols of the monitored area
- Promptly report all possible unlawful and anti-social matters to South Australian Police (SAPOL)
- Complete all computerised logs and incident reports, ensuring that all relevant information is relayed to the appropriate persons
- To control access to site
- To assist Emergency Services with the management of emergency situations as required
- To monitor Centre’s two-way radios

**Qualifications**
- Current Security Licence + Monitoring Subclass
- Certificate II Security Operations
- Current first Aid Certificate (including CPR component)
- Microsoft Office training (desirable)
- Able to work a 4 on 4 off rotating Days and Nights, 7 days a week

**Experience**
- Previous CCTV monitoring experience will be highly regarded
- Ability and experience writing detailed incident reports
- Experience using access control systems (Integrity will be highly regarded/advantageous)
- Experience using CCTV software (Milestone will be highly regarded/advantageous)
- Experience working in corporate environment
- Experience working in a team environment
