Security Officer – General guarding & Gatehouse Role (various locations adelaide)

About the Role

We are seeking reliable and professional Security Officers to join our team for construction site security and gatehouse assignments across Adelaide. This role is critical in maintaining a secure and safe environment for our clients by monitoring and controlling access to sites.

Please note: Successful applicants will be required to undergo a security vetting process prior to deployment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify vehicles and visitors entering site, ensuring compliance with entry requirements.
  • Direct visitors and contractors to designated areas as per site instructions.
  • Maintain accurate records of site entries and exits.
  • Communicate effectively over radio and follow site-specific protocols.
  • Monitor gatehouse and perimeter for unusual or suspicious activity.
  • Uphold high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Requirements

  • Current SA Security Licence.
  • White card (construction induction card)
  • Ability to obtain and pass security vetting/clearance prior to deployment.
  • Strong communication skills and confident use of two-way radio.
  • Ability to remain alert and proactive while working in a gatehouse environment.
  • Availability for shifts across weekdays, weekends, and after-hours as required.

Desirable

  • Previous gatehouse, control room, or access control experience.
  • Valid driver's licence and reliable transport.
  • Professional presentation and customer service experience.

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Pay: $27.00 – $62.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
