We are seeking a dedicated individual with experience in **Equipment and Logistics**, excellent leadership skills and ability to direct a large workforce. This is a key management role overseeing our **Commercial Stewarding** area in our exciting Airline Catering business at Brisbane Airport.
**What Does a typical day look like?**
Thrive in a busy environment, managing large scale process and workflow of industrial dishwashing equipment and a high performance team overseeing the careful handling, cleaning and storage of thousands of items of crockery, utensils and cutlery.
Time sensitive role servicing industrial loads for clients and working hand in hand with departments which on flows from our production, culinary, stores and customer delivery sections.
Planning, forecasting and communicating to the Business Unit on workforce planning (rostering), budgeting, training and efficient safety management of the workplace.
**Key Responsibilities**
Reporting to the Business Manager, the Equipment Logistics Manager will manage the Dishwash, Bulk Equipment, Bulk Food and Bar Packing areas. The Equipment Logistics Manager is responsible for providing the production area with accurate quantities of equipment and will ensure all bulk flights are packed according to the Galley Loading Plans (GLP) and are completed in line with the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
A highly visible leadership role, you will lead and implement initiatives to optimise the flight packing process to contribute to sustainable cost reduction and drive a culture of continuous improvement. You will have a key impact on ensuring our flights can depart to specification and on time.
**What do you need to be successful in this role?**
- Tertiary qualifications in a business or management discipline
- Proven leadership and management experience in a logistics, operational, manufacturing or similar environment
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing and mentoring a large team of 40+ people. Ability to energise and motivate
- Experience with inventory control and management systems
- Proven adaptability to changing environments
- Competent in documentation and records management using the Microsoft Office Suite
- Previous success achieving KPI targets and adherence to safety, health, environmental requirements
- Ability to build constructive and effective working relationships in formal and informal networks with internal and external stakeholders
- Good understanding of HACCP/Food Safety/WHS and QA standards
