Role Description - Coxswains
This is casual on-site role located in Brisbane, QLD, for a Coxswain at Atoll Logistics. Based on performance and skill shown in the role, full-time opportunities may later be available for the correct candidates. The Coxswain will be responsible for navigating and operating vessels, instructing crew, ensuring the safety of the crew and personnel, overseeing the maintenance of boats and equipment, conducting safety checks, and adhering to maritime regulations. The role involves managing marine support operations, handling emergency procedures, and coordinating with other team members for seamless operations. Atoll Logistics does a wide variety of works, providing new challenges and unique experiences with every project.
Coxswain Qualifications & Required Skills
- Coxswain NC Ticket (Minimum)
- Knowledge in vessel navigation and operation
- Experience in boat and equipment maintenance
- Experience pushing barges
- Willingness to learn and implement our standard operational procedures
- Understanding of safety checks and maritime regulations
- Skills in managing marine support operations and emergency procedures
- Strong communication and coordination abilities
- Current First Aid certification
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in varying weather conditions
- Drivers License
- Ability to pass a National Police Check if required
Role Description - General Purpose Hands

This is casual on-site role located in Brisbane, QLD, for a General Purpose Hand at Atoll Logistics. Based on performance and skill shown in the role, full-time opportunities may later be available for the correct candidates. General Purpose Hands will be responsible for assisting vessel masters, deck duties, ensuring the safety of the crew and personnel, completing maintenance of boats and equipment, handling vessel lines and other duties in the course of vessel operation. The role also involves a number of other responsibilities including yard work, equipment maintenance, inspections, engineering and trade tasks, infrastructure maintenance and more. Atoll Logistics does a wide variety of works, providing new challenges and unique experiences with every project. A small preview of these can be seen on our page and website.

With the wide variety of services that Atoll Logistics provides, many additional skills outside the marine industry are valuable to our team. We are also looking to expand our team for General Purpose Hands as well. Our work is primarily based in Brisbane, with a number of projects also based up and down the east coast. The ability to travel for distant projects is not a must, however it is looked at favourably. Upcoming works include travel to areas such as the Gold Coast.
