**About the Assignment**

The Logistics Lead supports the delivery of Associated Gas (AG) developments, by ensuring that all logistics and supply chain activities meet the objectives, constraints, and quality requirements of the Project.

The position is responsible for the planning and readiness of supply chain / logistics activities for the project, including route identification, status assessments, and any maintenance and repair or upgrade requirements. Moving forward, the role will also be responsible for overseeing the transportation and delivery of materials, order fulfilment, and ensuring supplies are processed internally in accordance with company policies and procedures. The role shall also ensure integration with other OSL business/project logistic needs such that synergies can be realised.

The Logistics Lead is an integral part of the project’s execution team., reporting directly to the Construction Manager, and working closely with other project execution leads (Snr Project Manager, Early Works Manager) to drive the required outcomes. The role is functionally aligned with with the PNG Business Unit’s Supply Chain organisation.

**Tasks include**:

- Establishment of a project safety culture by acting as an icon of HSE excellence. e.g. ensuring a culture of reporting, leading project site safety audits, initiating incident reports and participating in investigations;
- Ensuring that logistics requirements and assumptions are adequately integrated in project scope, plans, cost estimates, and risk profile (including creation and maintaining of logistic transport envelopes used for equipment procurement);
- Accountable for logistics Contractor management, including all pre-qualification, tendering, evaluations, approvals, and subsequent performance management activities;
- Ensuring relevant stakeholders (incl. the project team, Co-Venture partners, and government / regulatory bodies) are aligned with the Logistics Strategies and Plans for the project scope;
- Managing logistics financials and cost-efficiency, including analysing and optimising logistics strategies, processes, and procedures; and,
- Responsible for logistics-related risk management - identifying / managing uncertainties, integrating these with work scope, and engaging stakeholders in developing risk treatment plans.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualifications in relevant engineering disciplines (or equivalent)
- Ability to manage project strategy implementation while ensuring quality control and attention to HSES details;
- Familiarity with the capabilities of existing PNG community-based contracting groups;
- Strong commercial acumen and mature business judgment regarding people-, project-, and process-related issues;
- Exceptional personnel and contractor management (including conflict resolution) skills;
- Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical challenges to stakeholders at all levels;
- A delivery mindset / work ethic, coupled with a “team player” approach that seeks to help others succeed; and,
- Ability to generate novel solutions / ideas, especially in a group environment.
- 10-15+ years’ experience with coordination and on-ground delivery of in-country logistics of major infrastructure projects in remote locations;
- Track record of delivery in remote, developing country, and wet tropics environments (PNG-specific experience is strongly preferred);
- Experience in front-end / pre-FEED project phases (within a gated project delivery framework);
- Experience with brownfield (especially hydrocarbon) projects; and,
- Global experience, especially in developing countries.

This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod.

Location for this assignment is Brisbane working, full-time office hours with some requirement for travel to PNG.
