Our Federal Government Client is seeking motivated skilled Cyber Security Analyst.

This is a contract role for 12 months with 2x6 months extension options based in their Canberra office.
- Deliver cyber security support services to improve the agency's cyber security framework;
- Mentor junior analysts of their Cyber team to deliver their cyber security policy, procedures and managing competing priorities; and
- Support the agency's efforts to achieve Essential 8 maturity
- Work with the team leader to identify any shortcomings or required improvements to the Cyber Security team
- Provide assistance in operating cyber security systems such as Splunk, Tenable and CyberArk.

**To be successful in this role, you should have**:

- Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering cyber security support services to improve agency cyber security frameworks
- Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of independence and professionalism including demonstrated experience in providing mentoring support, to junior analysts. This includes the ability to prioritise and undertake a varied workload and respond positively and flexibly to change
- Demonstrated experience in contributing to agency outcomes, in particular, supporting the agency's efforts to achieve Essential 8 maturity
- Demonstrated experience in working with team leader to identify any shortcomings or required improvements, in particular contributing to the outcomes of the Cyber Security team
- Demonstrated experience in the operation of cyber security systems such as Splunk, Tenable and CyberArk
- Strong interpersonal skills, including both oral and written communication, in addition to strong stakeholder engagement skills with a demonstrated ability to quickly build trust and effectively manage expectations. This includes supervision and productive working relationships of technical teams and team members.
