**About the role**

The Manager, Governance Bodies position is a new senior leadership role within the Cyber Security, Data and Digital Resilience Division. It will be responsible for managing the effective operation and enhancement of existing key governance bodies including the whole-of-Victorian Government (WoVG) Chief Data Office Leadership Group, the Cyber Security Leadership Group and the Victorian Social Investment Integrated Data Resource Governing Council (VSIIDR GC), as well as supporting the establishment and then overseeing the ongoing operation of a new governance body related to WoVG artificial intelligence. Additionally, the role will oversee a specific program to deliver more streamlined and efficient VSIIDR GC operations and provide options to government on a streamlined approach to WoVG data governance arrangements.

The role will ensure robust governance practices are followed and improved, as well as ensure the provision of high-level secretariat support to facilitate strategic decision-making processes.

**About you**

To be considered for the role, you are to demonstrate:

- Experience in developing, implementing and overseeing governance, management and policy initiatives and instruments, preferably in a data environment, to deliver on organisational strategic objectives.
- Effective people and change management skills, including experience building and maintaining highly-functioning, productive and engaged teams that work well under pressure, managing multiple priorities.
- Exceptional analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills with sound judgement and capacity to make decisions and recommendations where diverse and technical interests need to be considered
- Experience developing productive working relationships with a variety of government, private industry and community stakeholders in a complex environment to deliver organisational objectives.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including in the preparation of submissions, reports, succinct briefings, with the specific ability to present complex concepts through visual and graphical formats in PowerPoint.
