This is a rare opportunity to join the Production Engineering Team as an **Engineering Technician. **You will be part of a dynamic team whose role is to support the Production Engineering team testing products or prototypes, as well as investigations into root cause failure analysis.

This role involves mechanical assembly, troubleshooting and repairs, but also testing that is electrical in nature, all under the guidance of an engineer. Experience in both the mechanical and electrical fields is highly desirable.
The successful applicant will enjoy being part of an organization taking Australian technology to the world.
- 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.
- Preferably a trade or technical background (Very desirable to have experience in both mechanical and electrical fields, but not essential).
- Familiar with workshop and power tools.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
- Demonstrated ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and basic electrical schematics.
- “Can-do” attitude with strong work ethics and ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- High level of interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Well organised, self-motivated, genuine team player.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:
Reporting to the Production Engineering Manager you will form an integral part of the Production Engineering Team, providing valuable engineering support.
To succeed in your new role, you will need to perform the following tasks:

- Testing and validation of product samples, prototypes, or assemblies; mechanical and/or electrical.
- Conduct tests in a documented and controlled manner.
- High quality documentation and reporting on investigations, in accordance with organizational standards.
- Inspect incoming prototype parts for quality and accuracy to drawing.
- Conduct failure investigations - disassemble product and find the root cause of failures.
- Coordinate your work closely within the Production Engineering team.
- Implement, comply with, and enforce NOJA Power quality, environmental and workplace health, and safety procedures.
