**Position Summary**

We rely on the Cyber Security Officer to protect the enterprises data and systems while implementing new technologies to increase the security of our existing systems.
This vital role will be responsible for identifying all current and potential threats, mitigating any vulnerabilities and anticipating future cyber security challenges. To be successful in this role, the Cyber Security Officer must ensure the development, deployment and support of component information systems that are consistent with cyber security industry best practice. Additionally, reviewing security architectures and developing engineering solutions that integrate is a large part of this role.
**Cyber Security Responsibilities**
- Ensure the development, deployment, operation, implementation, and support of information systems consistent with cyber security policies and procedures and best practices
- Consistently review security architectures and develop engineering solutions that integrate information security requirements to proactively protect Enterprise information
- Implementing and supporting network defense, identification / authentication / access control, data protection mechanisms and data transfer mechanisms
- Developing threat models and security risk assessments and recommending mitigations and countermeasures to address risks, vulnerabilities, and threats
- Reviewing and validating security documentation, including the system security requirements definition and System Security Plans
- Track any safety trends that may be relevant and important for the enterprise
- Create and manage an incident response plan
- Perform audit and security compliance checks as required, including network penetration testing, vulnerability scans, and other configuration analysis
- Develop reports identifying any vulnerabilities and the action plan associated with addressing these issues
- Identify training gaps within the organisation and ensure that team members are trained correctly to use enterprise technology safely and securely
- Creates and implements cyber security best practice policies and procedures
**Skills, Experience and Qualifications**
Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields:
- Computer Engineering;
- Computer Science;
- Cybersecurity;
- Information Security/ Assurance;
- Other related engineering fields;
- Or relevant verifiable work experience
- HeliMods provides products and services to Defence. In order to satisfy Defence security requirements, applicants must be able to attain at least NV1 security clearance. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.
