**Job description**

We are looking for experienced, reliable and empathetic Support Worker who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.

JOB DAYS - 3-5 days(weekly)

We Empower is looking for support workers in Port Melbourne and and surrounding areas.

**The role may involve**:

- Assistance with community access and recreational activities
- Personal care (Personal hygiene assistance)
- Transportation and supporting social engagement
- Light domestic duties such as meal preparation and cleaning
- Professional or lived experience supporting someone with a disability
- Experienced in manual handling tasks which includes transfer with ceiling hoist and standing machine
- Experience supporting people with Mental Health and Complex Behaviours
- Flexible availability & a long-term commitment to We Empower.

**Essential criteria**:

- An understanding of the disability/community services sector and person-centred support
- Transferable life/work skills along with a caring and compassionate approach
- A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- The legal right to work in Australia
- Excellent communication skills
- A genuine interest in the wellbeing & inclusion of people with disabilities

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $34.00 - $58.30 per hour

Schedule:

- Day shift
