**About the role**

This position is responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensure Parramatta’s public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city to promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city. You will undertake inspections to the public domain, make decisions & implement work practices in line with the waste and cleansing industry.

Daily duties include, but are not limited to, public domain cleaning, amenities & BBQ cleaning, street sweep machine operation, garbage compactor operation, emergency works response.

This is a 38-hour week shift (Monday - Friday) working between 11:30AM and 8:00PM.

You will be starting and finishing at Council's Rydalmere Operations Depot or Council's Wentworth Street Compound, located in Parramatta as required.

**About You**

You will bring previous experience operating heavy vehicles. Previous experience operating mechanical street sweepers and/or rear loading garbage compactors is desirable.

Experience
- Relevant experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated ability to work in a flexible team comprising staff of diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and the provision of a high quality and cost-effective cleansing service
- Experience maintaining safe practices including for premises and personnel through identifying, managing risks and hazards promptly.
- Good understanding of plant service and maintenance requirements

**Qualifications**:

- Current NSW Drivers Licence (minimum MR level)
- Current traffic controller (Blue, Yellow)
- Construction industry certificate “white” Card.

**Skills**:

- Proven customer service skills.
- Good interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
- Well-developed ability to coordinate work activities, plan daily work routines, manage time and prioritise tasks effectively.
- Superior capacity to adapt to changing priorities.

**What’s on offer**

We are offering an attractive total remuneration from $59,078.00 to $65,055.77 plus 10.5% superannuation.
