An exciting career opportunity arises to join the City of Parramatta as a Relief Operator in our growing Waste and Cleansing team

**About the role**

As the relief operator you will be responsible for providing self-managed cleansing services that ensure Parramatta’s Public domain is maintained and improved to enhance the appearance of the city and promote Parramatta as Australia’s next great city

City of Parramatta have **1 permanent full-time**opportunity available on our afternoon shift Monday-Friday 11:30am-8:30pm.

Key Responsibilities:

- Undertake cleansing of the public domain and assets
- Backfill all roles and duties within the team as required. Including but not limited to; operating mechanical street sweepers, rear load garbage compactor, public amenities cleaning, illegal dump collection, assisting with emergency works.
- Implementing work practices in line with waste and cleansing industry

You will be starting and finishing at Council's Rydalmere Operations Depot or Council's Wentworth Street Compound Parramatta as required.

**About You**
- Operating the mechanical street sweeper
- Operating rear load garbage compactor
- Understanding of small and heavy plant operations applicable to Cleansing Services
- Relevant experience in a similar role and operational environment

**Qualifications**
- Current MR NSW Driver’s Licence
- White Card

**What’s on offer**

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $63,897- $70,362 plus 11.5% Superannuation.

This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2023, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Level Allowance.
