Design Manager

In **Western Australia **, our **Water Business **has a long-standing relationship with the Water sector and we strive to understand and deliver on our clients' needs. The team works on a wide variety of projects including water designs for water authorities, as well as supporting projects for the broader national team. Joining our team offers an opportunity to work with an experienced team on challenging and interesting local projects, with access to the wider professional development and multi-disciplinary opportunities offered by a leading global consultancy.

We currently have an opportunity for a **Design Manager **to lead the design integration and project management of water and wastewater infrastructure engineering design projects. Contribute to the winning, management and delivery of projects, building working relationships across client organisations and delighting our clients.

**Working with industry leaders, this challenging position has great opportunity and will see you involved in**:

- Providing design leadership of design projects for water and wastewater conveyance and treatment civil infrastructure, including pipelines of various materials and sizes, storage facilities, pump stations and treatment plants
- Coordinating and leading the work of team members across multi-disciplinary projects to deliver creative and robust solutions to meet the needs of our clients
- Leading and providing direction and support to project management from concept through to completion
- Assisting with or leading the preparation of proposals and presentations to clients to win work
- Maintaining progress by proactively resolving technical challenges and seeking early client buy-in to preferred options to minimise later changes and rework
- Developing and enhancing client relationships and be an active team player

**What you will bring to the team**:

- Suitable qualifications, ideally Bachelor of Engineering
- Proven design management and project management skills and experience in delivering successful projects
- Ability to nurture trusting client relationships with focus on customer service
- Proven experience in producing high quality designs and documentation within the Water infrastructure industry
- Proven ability to build positive relationships both across the business and externally
- Ability to manage and coordinate interfaces with various disciplines
