**The Role**

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for commercial excellence and contract management?

We are looking for a **Manager - Contracts** to lead a team of dedicated Contracts Specialists and drive high-performance outcomes across our project delivery portfolio.

Supporting the Head of Commercial, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the successful delivery of capital projects aligned with CBH’s long-term Network Strategy and 2033 strategic objectives.

As part of the Project Delivery Group, you’ll lead and develop a high performing Contracts team, enhancing contract administration capability across the business.

You’ll drive best-practice commercial frameworks and models, oversee the full contract lifecycle and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver value across a diverse portfolio of projects.

**Responsibilities include**:
- Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing Contracts team (working across the Sustaining Capital and Expansion / Enhance portfolios), fostering a culture of excellence, ownership and continuous improvement.- Design and implement fit-for-purpose contract strategies, tools and frameworks that support CBH’s long-term goals and major project execution.- Manage the full contract lifecycle, from tendering and contract negotiation, through to performance management and project close-out, ensuring value, compliance and strong supplier relationships.- Collaborate with stakeholders across the Project Delivery Group, Legal (internal and external), Procurement, Risk and Operations to align commercial strategies with business needs.- Provide trusted advice on risk, financials and dispute resolution to support confident decision-making on complex projects.- Continuously improve contract management systems, templates and processes to enhance efficiency, ensure audit readiness, and support project success.

**About You**:
- A degree in Commerce, Law, Engineering, or a related field, with more than 10 years’ experience in contract management and leadership within project environments.- Extensive experience managing major construction contracts across a range of delivery models, with oversight of project portfolios valued at approximately $100 million or greater.- Strong negotiation skills and a track record of resolving complex commercial issues.- Confident managing the end-to-end contract lifecycle with robust planning, reporting and stakeholder engagement capabilities.- Proven experience in leading and managing teams, with a track record of developing talent and driving performance.- A collaborative communicator who builds trust and alignment across teams.- Experience in logistics, scheduling / programming, SAP or Ariba is highly regarded.
