Seeking an experienced Contract Manager to join a Public Health department in Perth CBD, starting ASAP

**Your new company**

A State Government health department based in Perth CBD, is seeking an experienced Contract Manager to manage a range of contracting functions. You will be engaged on an initial temporary basis for 6-months, with a likeliness of extension or direct appointment offered to the right person. You will be required to work full-time hours, paid at a competitive hourly rate.

**Your new role**

As the Contract Manager, you will be responsible for a range of functions, including:

- Leading particular teams working on specific portfolios to achieve quality contract management outcomes
- Developing high-risk contracts, including procurement planning, tendering, contract formulation and evaluation
- Provide specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders around contract development and management issues
- Conduct business planning and scopes to further develop best practice contract management functions
- Ensure that contracts comply at all times with government guidelines and compliance
- Participate in annual performance development reviews and general team meetings

**What you'll need to succeed**

In order to be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:

- Substantial experience at a management level in a contract management position
- A strong understanding of government procurement and policies
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with confidence in consulting and negotiating with stakeholders around procurement and contract matters
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to prepare high-level contract documentation
