**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Maintain Sundry Debtor Systems
- Maintain Sundry Debtor’s Master file with high integrity, following up on outstanding debts.
- Ensure the timely issue of invoices, statements, and reminders to customers.

Debtor Management
- Key liaison for Council’s debt collection contract, ensuring the Debtors' balances is monitored accurately.
- Assist Council staff with inquiries relating to debtor invoicing and payments.
- Assist customers/agencies with invoice and payment inquiries

Reporting and Reconciliations
- Assisting with the processing of month-end and year-end tasks relating to accounts receivable functions.
- Prepare monthly reports on aged debtors' position, bad debts, and provision for doubtful debts.

Auditing
- Provide all necessary assistance to Council’s internal and external auditors to facilitate an efficient audit
- in accordance with the agreed time frames and scope of the audit.

**TO BE SUCCESSFUL**:

- Certificate III or IV in the Accounting related field or equivalent knowledge skills and experience
- Demonstrated experience in Accounts Receivable collection including experience with computer-based debtor systems
