**About the role**:
Support the Head of Customer on new business initiatives that underpin the Future Energy division’s strategic objectives.
Work closely with its existing and prospective customer information to develop opportunities for solutions that support energy transition and decarbonisation as well as create commercial opportunities for Ampol.
The Customer Specialist will provide key customer support for these identified opportunities and align with both B2B and B2C sales teams, and the Future Energy project team to deliver on strong outcomes supporting customer energy transition.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Maintain and utilise key customer systems including Salesforce, SAP, databases, excel files and other information sources to collate and analyse customer data and decisions
- Prepare and coordinate reports and presentations that provide accurate and detailed reporting to meet customer and project needs
- Conduct research and analysis for customer energy transition to direct and accelerate project delivery
- Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate the provision of proactive advice and support
- Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of customer processes by supporting the building of customer procedures / processes for new energy products
- Pro-actively identify areas where systems and processes can be improved
- Engage and support the broader B2B team with a Future Energy lens and identify opportunities to minimise impact to stakeholders and customers
- Support customer bids from a Future Energy perspective across the B2B customer base through the B2B Bid Management Program
**About you**:
You will have approx. five years of experience in sales support and customer analytics, with a demonstrated track record in supporting, securing or growing corporate revenue streams.
Your drive to provide actionable insights from data will be supported by a tertiary qualification in Business, Sales, Sustainability, Social Impact, Fundraising, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
**Key skills and experience**:
- Managing prospecting and due diligence processes and pipeline management for lead qualification and associated management of sales support
- Engagement with senior level corporate stakeholders for the purpose of influence, partnership establishment and revenue generation
- Exceptional written communication skills and expertise in crafting compelling and relevant proposals and reporting
- Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to negotiate, be persuasive, and be a compelling presenter that develops trust and maintains strong working relationships.
- Ability to be self-motivated, responsive, and flexible in an environment with time pressures and multiple priorities.
- Financial management experience.
- Demonstrated leadership capability including a commitment to developing a culture of innovation and collaboration that results in a highly engaged and effective team.
