The Customer Service Operations (CSO) Business Governance Central Team are a first line Assurance function for the CSO portfolio and play a key role in delivering and assisting our business units in managing and delivering risk and compliance responsibilities.

The Business Governance and Controls Expert is critical to making this happen and will support a wide range of required activity to support robust risk management and governance protocols are standardised and consistently applied. This includes activities ensuring CSO meets requirements of the I.AM Amplified Adoption program transition deliverables and ongoing compliance. The coverage will extend to all underlying BU-1’s within the CSO portfolio and will require engagement with stakeholders in the CSO team and risk professionals within the Division and Group Risk management teams. This will include working with the teams on risk initiatives, reviews and direct support to any CSO business as required.

**As a Business Governance Expert**:
You must have a keen eye on risks and controls. This includes identifying, implementing, and influencing the CSO management team on maintaining business control mechanisms that protect our shareholders, customers, and bankers.

The role will focus on providing support to the CSO I.AM Adoption Lead on all risk activities involved in the implementation of the new NFR model and adoption of risks and new Event management module over the next 12 months for CSO.

There will likely be a requirement to work closely / in conjunction with programs and areas within CSO who are delivering the strategic initiatives on process improvement and re-engineering, automation, process mapping and CPS 230.

Provide support the BG&C Lead responsible for Financial Crime deliverables.

Work on documentation of controls in CSO processes to support I.AM deliverables and CSO initiatives aligned to the same.

Provide support the BG&C Lead responsible for Financial Crime deliverables.

Support the BG&C CoE and CSO businesses with control uplift activities which may arise from the I.AM adoption risk tasks for the CSO profile. This will involve initiatives in Technology Controls uplift and Data Management initiatives.

**Role Type**: 12 Month Secondment / Fixed Term Contract, Full-time

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in the role, you will ideally bring the following:
Sound understanding of the need to mitigate business operational risks in line with established risk management and compliance frameworks.

Logical and practical approach to risk and compliance requirements, and ability to demonstrate principles of being well-managed in existing and previous roles.

Willingness to continually improve risk and compliance capability and technical knowledge, including relevant understanding of the I.AM Framework (NFR model)

An understanding of controls including an ability to investigate, document and assess adequacy of control design, providing recommendations to business as relevant.

Demonstrated ability to work on multiple tasks and initiatives concurrently, in partnership with and on behalf of our stakeholder groups.

Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders, all levels of employees and management.
