About the School
Forest Lake State School is a large primary school catering for approximately 780 students. We have four teams - Teaching and Learning, Well-being, Equity and Innovation, who work collaboratively to lead our school priorities of Writing, Feedback and Positive Culture for Learning. We are a PBL school and believe all students have the right to feel safe and supported in the school environment, where learning knows no boundaries.
About the Roles
Deputy Principal -Teaching and Learning
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Extensive knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
- Knowledge of, and experience leading the implementation of, the Before After End Moderation process.
- Evidence of your ability to lead visible learning through assessment for learning, Reading to Learn pedagogy, Inquiry based learning, Age Appropriate Pedagogies, Bump it Up Walls and effective feedback.

It is desirable that the successful applicant can demonstrate the following:

- Experience in leading case management processes.
- Understand support processes for students with complex learning needs, including First Nations students, SWD and students in out of home care.

Deputy Principal - Innovation
The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate the following:

- Experience in leading pedagogical reform through digital technologies.
- Experience with implementation of critical and creative thinking across Learning areas.
- Ability to lead the implementation of Age Appropriate Pedagogies and Inquiry Learning.

It is desirable that the successful applicant can demonstrate the following:

- Understanding of 21st century skills.
- Knowledge of BYOD iPad programs.
- Apple Learning Leader - capability to lead the use of iPads as a tool for learning, creating and communicating.
