Public Sector People are currently recruiting for an Job Creation and Data Entry Officer to join Fire Ant Eradication. Multiple roles available 6 months + extension. Our client is seeking and experienced and motivated individual to join this busy department. You will be operating from within the Biosecurity Queensland Control Centre, you will be involved in providing quality administrative program support services. This position works within Operations Program Office and communicates with internal and external customers providing information, data entry, job creation and monitoring of documentation support to the National Red Imported Fire Ant Eradication Program.

**Key duties and accountabilities will include**:

- Provide timely and accurate job creation, data entry and manual analysis including completion of internal Quality Assurance measures and delivery of information/documentation
- Perform administrative duties including the generation of appointments/bookings
- Timely input of operational activities into the information systems and maintain accurate electronic and hard copy records
- Monitor and edit data for accuracy and raise data issues when required to ensure data integrity
- Follow QA procedures including reporting errors on anomalies or errors
- Drive and participate in the continual improvement of operational processes and procedures
- Assist in the development and trialling of information systems for improving methods of efficiency and accuracy of job creation and data entry

**Skills required**:

- Experience in ArcGIS or similar technical programs (eg. AutoCAD)
- 6-12 months experience in similar administration role with strong data entry skills
- Strong computer skills, particularly in Excel
- Ability to read/interpret geographical maps
- Communicates effectively with clients to provide responsive, accurate and relevant information and services
- Good initiative when responding to challenges in a pressured and changing environment
- Effective problem-solving ability
- Able to exercises tact, diplomacy and discretion when required
- Prioritises and uses time effectively
- Must have access to your own transport
- Must have the right to work in Australia
