**ABOUT THE ROLE**

Liverpool City Council is guiding this rapid transformation and is seeking a Manager of City Planning who will lead Council’s multi-faceted City Planning department consisting of Strategic Planning, City Design & Public Domain, Contributions Planning and e-Planning, and Business Reform.

The successful applicant will maximise strategic advocacy in relation to strategic planning matters and provide high-level expert advice on a diverse and complex range of strategic and operational activities to the Executive Leadership Team and the Mayor and Councillors.

The Manager of City Planning will lead, manage, and develop planning, design, and transport staff to achieve sustainable, balanced, consistent, and timely outcomes that reflect the vision and expectations of the Council and the Liverpool community.

**ABOUT YOU**

This is a high-profile, challenging, and rewarding position. You must have tertiary qualifications in urban planning/town planning or other relevant qualifications by the Planning Institute of Australia and strong leadership and management skills to deliver sound strategic and operational outcomes across a complex, multi-disciplinary, customer-focused organisation.

You must also have a current class C Driver’s Licence.

An attractive Annual Total Remuneration Package will be negotiated and will be dependent on the relevant skills, experience, and competencies of the successful applicant. This position includes a Leaseback Vehicle or Vehicle Allowance.
