**Assistant Urban Designer**

1x Temporary Full Time - 35 hours, 5 days per week

The Liverpool Local Government Area (LGA) is one of the largest in metropolitan Sydney, comprising 42 suburbs, and includes a diverse mix of established and new release areas. The LGA is undergoing rapid change and development, including the transformation of the Liverpool City Centre into Sydney’s third CBD, construction of the new Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport, development of the new Western Sydney Aerotropolis, and the delivery of significant transport and infrastructure projects.

This position is situated within the City Design and Public Domain team, and primarily works on the following activities:

- Assisting with the preparation of Urban Design and Public Domain documents (e.g., policies, master plans, concept plans, strategies, studies, guidelines, and manuals);
- Preparing graphic imagery for Urban Design and Public Domain projects and initiatives (e.g., diagrams, plans, sections, elevations, and 3D montages and renders);
- Assisting with desktop publishing activities, including compiling content, preparing layouts, and formatting of design documents (e.g., reports, drawing packages, presentation panels, and fact sheets);
- Providing input into discussions and workshops related to Urban Design and Public Domain matters;
- Developing and maintaining resources and reference material, to support the team in completing their work (e.g. inventories of information and images, and graphic libraries);
- Assisting with other activities and tasks being undertaken by the team (e.g., undertaking research, assisting with the preparation of project management documents, grant funding submissions, and community and stakeholder engagement activities); and
- Providing guidance to work experience students.
