The role of Coordinator Civil Engineering Programs will provide you with an opportunity to undertake the planning and delivery of Council’s civil infrastructure capital works projects and programs to time, cost, and quality targets. The role is instrumental in the delivery of high-quality road, transport, and drainage infrastructure assets by developing and implementing appropriate management policies, capital works programs, and standards for council-owned infrastructure to ensure our assets continue to deliver the required levels to our growing community.
**Key responsibilities**:
- Achieving “best value” investment in road, drainage, and floodplain infrastructure
- Developing “best practice” asset and infrastructure solutions
- Contributing to the analysis, evaluation, and planning of medium
- and long-term civil assets and infrastructure options
- Undertaking pre-tender/quotation WHS Project Hazard Identifications and Risk Assessments of Relative Work Activities
- Monitoring the execution and completion of works to achieve required specifications, quality, safety, and environmental standards
**ABOUT YOU**
The successful applicant will have:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with eligibility for corporate membership of the Institution of Engineers, Australia
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a similar role; local government experience will be looked upon favourably.
- Experience in the management of projects and program works within budget, time, and quality standards
- Extensive experience in design, construction, and maintenance of road and drainage infrastructure assets within the constraints of an urban environment
- Experience in developing budgets, policies, strategies, plans, and programs associated with the management of infrastructure assets
