In the role of Communications Advisor, you will develop and implement communication and engagement strategies and activities to support significant projects in the North Coast Region.

The role provides high level communication services and advice to senior leadership, project management, technical and professional staff on community engagement, stakeholder relationships, issues and media management.

This role will be required to work at construction site offices on a part-time basis.

**Accountabilities include**:

- Assist the Senior Communications Advisor (Significant Projects) in providing communication advice and support to significant projects staff on risk assessment, issues management, community consultation and communication strategies using appropriate communication tools.
- Contribute to development of media statements, responses to media and web inquiries, speech notes, briefing notes, ministerial, and other communication material for the Minister's office and senior management.
- Assist with and undertake community engagement and stakeholder consultation activities during project development and delivery, including record management.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of communication strategies, activities and procedures which assist the region to achieve its strategic objectives.
- Gather information and write articles for various publications, including staff magazines, newsletters and information brochures, award submissions and coordinate preparation of promotional materials.
- Coordinate and project manage the content of the region's communication intranet and internet pages to ensure relevance to projects and initiatives.
