**About the Role**:
At Curtin University, we are committed to empowering students with the skills, experiences, and networks they need to thrive in a rapidly evolving world of work.
We are seeking a visionary and strategic **Manager, Career Development** to lead our dynamic team in delivering innovative, student-centred career development programs and to partner with Recruit Curtin on key employer engagement initiatives.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of the university’s student career development team, aligning with institutional goals for student employability and graduate success.
- Develop and implement forward-thinking career development strategies, programs, and resources that support diverse student cohorts across all faculties.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with students, industry through Recruit Curtin, alumni, academic staff, and professional bodies to expand employment and experiential career development opportunities.
- Lead a high-performing team of career development professionals, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Use data and insights to evaluate service effectiveness, inform strategic planning, and report on graduate outcomes and impact.
- Represent Curtin Careers in university-wide committees, working groups, and external forums.
**We are looking for (selection criteria)**:
You are a strategic and people-focused leader with a passion for student success and an understanding of the career development landscape. You bring:
- Proven experience in managing career services, student engagement, or employability programs within a tertiary education or similar environment.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across a variety of stakeholders, particularly academic.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage change, and deliver high-impact programs and services.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- A relevant qualification in career development, learning and/or organisational development, education, business, human resources, or a related field.
**Role Requirements**:
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered
