The GIANTS are on an exciting journey both on and off the field. With teams in the AFL, the AFL Women’s League and Super Netball competitions, the GIANTS truly are a club like no other.

On field, the AFL team has quickly grown into one of the competition’s most exciting teams with several players becoming household names across the country. Likewise, the on-field achievements of our AFL Women’s and GIANTS Netball teams are seeing the club connect with more fans and followers than ever before.

Off field, the club’s exciting, innovative, and fresh brand is growing as it engages with members, fans, the community and key stakeholders across Western Sydney, Canberra and Nationally.

The GIANTS’ AFL and AFL Women’s teams are based at the club’s elite training and administration facility in Sydney Olympic Park, with GIANTS Netball based adjacent at Netball Central.

**Description**:
The role requires someone who can demonstrate leadership, management and technical skills in developing players and staff, along with the ability to engage with the club's members, sponsors, and other key stakeholders.

The GIANTS VFL Head Coach & AFL Development Coach is multifaceted and responsibilities include;
Coach GIANTS VFL team
Recruitment & retention of GIANTS VFL listed players
Assist Head of Development with development and implementation of Individual Development Plans (IDP) for all AFL listed players
Drive skill acquisition of players in alignment with Individual Development Plans and requirements for their roles
Provide weekly feedback to individual players based on performance as required - AFL and VFL listed
Assist in the preparation and implementation of weekly training plan for squad
Provide weekly feedback on the VFL line coaches performance as required
Review weekly footage for players using broadcast and behind the goals vision as required
Provide coaching mentoring to developing coaches

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Preferably Level 3 AFL Coaching Accreditation
- Level 1 First Aid
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work in a team environment
- Demonstrated ability to develop and present feedback to players and coaches
- Demonstrated ability to interpret game trends and provide solutions
- Demonstrated ability to work with Sportscode, Keynote
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills
