Our Database Specialists Team are the incredibly talented team who utilise exceptional technical expertise to design, build, run & optimise database architecture for our customers. As a member of his team, you provide excellent service and support to AC3 and customers every time.

As part of the Specialist Services Team Database Specialists look after the day to day activities that provide support to AC3 and our customers for database systems. This includes incident response, tracking and reporting. Outside of the operational tasks this role works with our project team to deliver AC3 and customer projects.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to customers
- Ensure data integrity, security and ongoing maintenance of clusters and databases
- Build database systems of high availability and quality based on customer requirements
- Minimise database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses

**Required Experience**:

- Experience building database schemes, tables, procedures and permissions Prior involvement creating shell scripts for task automation
- Experience in installing and testing upgrades, patches and implementing security and encryption
- Experience in ITIL change management
- Strong experience in Oracle and Microsoft SQL database design and support
- Experience with AWS and Azure RDS
- Experience with Oracle/MySQL/ PostgresSQL/Informix Database

**Required skills**:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with multiple stakeholders and peers across technical and non-technical, written and verbal communications; proven document and report writing skills
- Strong database performance trouble shooting skills
- Technical expertise in Oracle Web Logic server, Oracle RDBMS and familiar with database high availability and disaster recovery design, implementation and on-going operation in Unix/Linux environment and MS Window environment
- Technical expertise in MS SQL, familiar with database high availability and disaster recovery design, implementation and on-going operation
