**The role**
The purpose of this role is to provide strategic, commercial & technological leadership and direction through the effective management of key operational improvement initiatives, and shared service teams, within the claims and assessing department.
- Build a strong “Business As Usual” operational capability within CA& to support the direct connection between our business leaders and our change teams.
- Lead the development of appropriate solutions to optimise the productivity and cost control capability of the business.
- Build a strong shared service capability to support our tactical and strategic initiatives.
- Develop and execute key commercial strategies and relationships.
- Ensure a consistent focus on customer experience, operational efficiency, compliance and staff engagement across the entire end to end business supporting the customer journey.
- Facilitate internal and external stakeholder groups in identifying future commercial opportunities and resolving issues of urgent and immediate importance that potentially impact the business.
- Work with key business stakeholders to ensure targeted business outcomes are achieved.
- Ensure continuous improvement in the use of internal and external data to improve targeted processes to enhance customer experience, lower cost of repair and enhance our employee experience and efficiency.
- Enhance the relationship between automated systems/controls and processes to enhance targeted fraud detection and improve compliance controls and cost efficiency.
- Challenge business norms to provide superior performance and enhance people capability. Contribute to the broader Company Strategic Direction and Culture.
**What experience you’ll bring**
- Bachelor degree in relevant discipline (Information Technology, Business, Project Management, Change Management) would be preferred.
- Deep experience in portfolio, program and project management and change management. Experience coordinating and/or leading process improvement, business analysis and knowledge management activities would be advantageous.
- Insurance industry experience, and in particular experience supporting the development and delivery of insurance products would be preferred.
- Strong leadership capability and the ability to lead and develop highly engaged and capable teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Extensive stakeholder management (including C-Suite) experience in a fast-paced, delivery focused environment
- Commercial acumen and the ability to successfully translate business strategy into the prioritisation of initiatives, and support other leaders to deliver upon strategic goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the development of board papers and reporting.
- Strong analytical ability and presentation skills.
